2021 FUNDRAISING

Race the Thames 2021

  • Three teams of eight participated in the virtual challenge to Race the Thames 2021.
  • Each team completed a distance of 346km in 7 days, in partnership with London Youth Rowing.
  • £4,000 was raised for Parkinson’s UK, National Down Syndrome Society, Environmental Defense Fund and Respect Men’s Advice Line.

We held two virtual lockdown challenges whereby colleagues from all regions ran, walked or cycled a collective distance.

2020 Corporate Donations and Employee Engagement

School-Home Support (SHS)

JOHCM made a donation of £10,000 towards ongoing operational costs of the charity. This year marks the third anniversary of our partnership with SHS.

Matched Giving

Participation across all locations in the Employee Matched Giving Scheme continued in 2019/20, with the company matching up to £1,000 per employee for personal donations, contributing £5,365 in total.

Beyond Shame Beyond Stigma

Jonny Benjamin, MBE, award-winning mental health campaigner, writer and founder of mental health charity Beyond Shame Beyond Stigma, hosted a virtual seminar in April 2020 with JOHCM staff, to speak about his mental health journey.

Macmillan Cancer Support

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning went virtual in September 2020 and we raised £220.

30% Club Cross-Company Mentoring Programme

16 employees across the business participated in a pilot run of the 30% club cross-company mentoring programme. The 30% club was an initiative set up by Dame Helena Morrissey and together with Moving Ahead the scheme works towards creating an inclusive society.

Red Cross Beirut Appeal

JOHCM made a donation of £5,000 towards the Red Cross Beirut Appeal.

2020/2021: Mission INCLUDE mentoring programme

With the success of the mentoring programme in 2019, our second cohort started the Mission INCLUDE programme in November 2020 with 20 participants across the US, UK and Singapore offices.
