Active asset manager J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) and its impact investment arm Regnan are pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Geall as Senior Research Analyst – within the Regnan Insight and Advisory Centre. Geall will be a key contributor to thematic research, supporting the recently hired teams in Water and Waste and Impact Solutions teams.
Geall most recently served as a Thematic Research Analyst at Newton Investment Management. Here he was responsible for thematic sustainable research supporting a number of key investment teams.
Alison George, Regnan’s Head of Research, said: “Hiring Ed expands our capability in thematic research deepening the support to Regnan’s strategies. He will provide valuable input into the development and delivery of superior insights for our investment teams.” Ed will be based in London and work alongside Osh Siyaguna who relocated from Australia last year to work alongside the Regnan portfolio managers.
Geall joined JOHCM on 9th February 2022 and is based in London.
Ed Geall joined Regnan in February 2022 as a Senior Research Analyst. His core responsibilities are centred on sustainable and thematic research, as well as idea generation, working alongside the wider investment team. Prior to joining Regnan, Ed was a Thematic Research Analyst at Newton Investment Management, where he focused on research for the firm’s thematic and sustainable strategies. Before joining the investment management industry, Ed was a lecturer and tutor at the University of Warwick. Ed completed his Ph.D. at Warwick, where his research was sponsored by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
Regnan is a responsible investment leader with a long and proud heritage providing advice and insights on important environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
We were established in 1996 to investigate and address ESG-related related sources of risk and value for long-term shareholders in Australian companies.
Building on that expertise, in 2020 Regnan expanded its capabilities into responsible investment funds management, backed by the considerable resources of J O Hambro Capital Management and its parent Pendal Group.
