  • The Fund performed in line with the benchmark, a somewhat disappointing performance given the performance of the FTSE 250 index where the Fund is overweight, which outperformed the FTSE 100 index. 
  • October was an extremely busy month for portfolio news flow with a more mixed set of financial performances after what has generally been a strong year to date. 
  • On the positive side, QinetiQ was the best performer after announcing the US$135m acquisition of a US defence services business involved in sensor solutions called MTEQ.
