Korea is still an emerging market

EMERGING MARKETS SPOTLIGHT | Despite Korea’s technological strength, persistent issues such as poor corporate governance, political instability and investor behaviour mean that its equity market has emerging market characteristics, particularly volatility. Performance can be strong, but driven by retail activity, while underlying indicators remain weak. We retain a cautious view.
