Ted Sotir

Chair and Independent Non-Executive Director

Ted Sotir is Chair and an Independent Non-Executive Director of J O Hambro Capital Management Limited.

Ted has 40 years of experience in the global asset management industry. He spent three decades at Goldman Sachs, including 25 years within its asset management division, where he held a number of senior leadership roles across investment management, governance and client management. During his career, he also served as Chief Investment Officer and Trustee of the Goldman Sachs UK Pension Scheme.

In addition to his executive career, Ted has extensive board and governance experience. He has served as Chair of State Street Global Advisors Limited and as a Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee of NOW: Pensions Trustee Limited.

As Chair of JOHCML, Ted provides independent oversight of the Board and supports the firm in maintaining high standards of governance, effective risk management and strong client outcomes.

Ted holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
