James Firn Chris Golden
US General Counsel and Managing Director, Fund Platform
Chris is US General Counsel and Managing Director, Fund Platform, of Perpetual’s US Asset Management business. He joined the firm in 2021 and previously serves as Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance US. In his current role, Chris is responsible for oversight of US legal matters and board governance and operational and finance oversight as it relates to the firm’s US fund platform. He also serves as President of Perpetual Americas Funds Trust. He also serves in governance roles for other Perpetual US affiliates.
Prior to joining Perpetual, Chris served as a capital markets associates at Sidley Austin, LLP, in New York, and Vedder Price P.C., in Chicago. He also served in senior legal and compliance roles for a leading global asset manager, as well as real estate and private market asset managers.
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Boston University and his J.D. from Cornell Law School and holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
